It’s been such a spontaneous trip, yet it fitted exactly in those two weeks that I did not have to work. A holiday came up, a very special one, as it was a comeback and ultimate continuation of the Alaska 1.0 trip. Moritz has contacted me with whom I have already lived the Vanlife for two and a half months together in North America. He still had two weeks of holiday and could borrow his parents‘ Volkswagen Bus. Ouh yeah, it’s road trip time!
The final destination of our trip should be Slovenia, yet we planned our route over Innsbruck, South Tyrol and East Tyrol. In Innsbruck, I visited some apartments, as I would start to study there from October on. From there we moved on and spent about one and a half days in the Italian Dolomites. We first visited the Lago di Braies, a must-stop on every Dolomites Tour, even though it’s super touristic there. The second day we hiked the famous Via Alpini in the Three Peaks Nature Park. Impressions of this you can see in the attached slide show. In addition to that, I‘ve put some photos in there that we took during our via Ferrata adventure in the Galitzenklamm in East Tyrol. A sweaty business, not suitable for people with any fear of heights. Those two highlights right at the beginning of our trip should be enough for now, our actual trip to Slovenia, which includes mountain biking as well, will be part of the next post.
