The same day we visited the Monument Valley we had two more attractions on our travel schedule. A short stop in the Goosenecks State Park and the Valley of the Gods. Both places didn’t lay far apart from each other and were also mostly on the way to Bluff, where we would spend the night. In the Goosenecks State Park, we could gaze at the huge, curved, valleys that the San Juan River carved into the desert. And on the following drive through the Valley of the Gods, we saw numerous, spectacular, free-standing rock walls and towers. We really had to stop quite often to enjoy the landscape. To give you an impression of this landscape, I have a couple of images for you, too.
