Not far from Bluff, where we spent the night in a very lovely guesthouse and had a great dinner the night before, lays the Natural Bridges National Monument. The park is characterized by three large rock arches, that all lay in a canyon, that tracks through the desert for many kilometers. Caro and I hiked to all three bridges on that day, meaning that we had to get down into the canyon and up three times. We just wanted to see them not only from the rim but from below. Matter of factly the canyon wasn’t too deep, but still down there was a completely different climate. Through more available water more plants and trees were thriving. Like small oasis’s in the dry environment. For a better impression of this here’s another slideshow from the Natural Bridges National Monument.
