Once more we arrived in the desert, which dominates large amounts of our road trip. The Joshua Tree National Park belongs to the Mojave Desert, that covers large areas of California. It is famous, who would have thought it, for the Joshua Trees in the park. But next to the trees we could gaze at several more attractions. In the Hidden Valley and at the Cap Rock huge rock piles out of rounded boulders could be found. In between thrived the typical desert plants. From the Keys View, we could lurk into the huge Valley of Palm Springs and the San Andreas Vault. In addition to that, we walked through the beautiful Cholla Cacti Garden. And finally, we visited an oasis, that conjured beautiful green into the desert. After that, we already moved on to Arizona, where the next type of desert was awaiting us.
